i got this light when i renewed my membership. i don’t agree with all the positions of the nra, but i can’t deny that they’ve supported 2nd amendment rights. and the gun insurance that comes with membership is well worth the cost.

the state of texas is the recipient of some, shall we say, criticism. but i have to say that todays live action zombie apocalypse in houston is pretty darn awesome. i’m wondering if something like this could be hosted here in phoenix.

not for me, but the hubby. he went shopping for work shoes yesterday and brought home these beauties. gotta love the brand.

and speaking of work, i went out to my car this morning to go to work, and the battery was dead. i had noticed that the engine was starting to turn over rather slowly the past day or two. batteries don’t last very long when exposed to 110+ degree heat. note to self – when the engine starts turning over slowly during starting, get thee to the autozone and replace the battery. fortunately, there’s an autozone about a block away. with a little luck, they’ll have a battery in stock. they open in about an hour. i’ll be a little late to work today…

someone decided to have at it on my hubby’s windshield last night. the police seem to think that it’s because the kids are off for the summer. oddly enough, they were by our neighbor’s house last week, as their car was broken into. and someone also stole a grille from our car port around the same time frame.

i’m getting close to pulling a “clint eastwood”, and hanging in my front yard with my 12 gauge grumbling “get off my lawn”…
