we met up with the pink pistols at ben avery shooting range yesterday. it was nice seeing them again, and it was the first time i’d been at the outdoor range. i brought my ruger 10/22 rifle, and the sig p6. notice above, the broken trigger bar spring, which occurred about 100 rounds into the shoot. i suppose it’s to be expected, as the gun is 30 years old. i’ll order a whole new spring kit – no telling at what point any of the other springs are about to go. apparently, this is not uncommon. also, the scope started to loosen up on the rifle, so we left early. now, on to order the new springs and some locktite.

it’s my birthday today. i like to tell myself that my birthday is so important, they decided to also make today earth day. in any event, my hubby took the above pic at the range this morning. i’m sporting my pink radians electronic ear muffs, and about to fire my s&w m&p9c. apparently, the m&p prefers the more expensive pmc bronze ammo that i picked up a few weeks ago. 150 rounds without a hitch, unlike the winchester white box ammo from walmart which caused a few failures to extract.
after the range, we stopped off for some shopping – i picked up a few tops on sale, and then off to lunch. stopped at best buy and picked up the first season of six feet under, which turned out to be on sale at half price. the rest of today, still in the planning stage.

i’m sure you’ve come across these types of images in your travels. yesterday, i suggested to my husband that perhaps the user of such images on their vehicle is much like the use of decoys in hunting, where by placing a number of decoy ducks in a pond would bring along some real ones.
