an award-winning picture story about two male penguins who become parents was the most complained about book for the third year running. and tango makes three was cited by parents and educators as being anti-family, pro-gay, and anti-religion, as tracked by the american library association.
It’s all a moot point, they’e already lost and we’ve won. As the generational shift takes hold over the next few years, those that would complain about a cute book like this will become more and more irrelevant.

it just boggles the mind to think that the natural behavior of penguins is something with which these small-minded people take issue. the world is falling apart and they’re complaining about cute children’s books.
