more ammo

i stopped off at sportsmans warehouse to buy some ammo in celebration of national ammo day. the shelves were bare, but i did manage to get 250 rounds.

i got 50 rounds of 9mm blazer ammo for $9.95, which is a pretty good price. it features an aluminum casing as opposed to brass, and the price was right for target practice at the range. i’ll see how it performs.

i also got 200 rounds of federal game-shok .22 rimfire ammo. except for the lack of hollow points, it looks identical to the cci minimag ammo i typically buy, and it was a dollar less per box. if it performs as well as the cci minimag stuff, and it continues to be available, i’ll start using it regularly. no need for hollow points at the range, and a dollar per 100 round savings is welcome.

as an added note, i find it somehow apropos, that national ammo day, november 19th, is one day before the transgender day of remembrance, november 20th. like they’re encouraging us to stock up on ammo the day before we gather. for protection.
