according to azcentral.com:
A 30-year-old man punched a 23-year-old woman in the face Thursday evening in an attempt to steal her vehicle, police reported.
But he failed, according to police.
The attempted robbery, in which he hit her on the left side of her face, took place in a Fry’s parking lot near West Peoria and North 35th avenues at about 6:10 p.m., police reported.
this is the fry’s where we shop, every sunday. and people wonder why i walk the streets armed.

That Fry’s also seems to have a lot of peeps who are just downright weird to start with.
I’m not surprised that the carjacking failed, either — to a woman in that neighborhood means being tough.

They do?
Here in the south, you have to justify the opposite!
“Why aren’t you carrying a GUN, little lady?” hahaha!

Now, recall that I was in that god awful part time phase of bouncing back and forth when I lived there.
And I went to that store in all manner of modes, and every time I went there are a woman, I was followed, offered rides, or downright threatened.
And I was on foot.
Was good training ground for the Barrio I ended up in, huh? lol
Oh, and just the other side of the freeway, down peoria near bryman, is where the guy spent twenty minutes trying to get me into his car.
And I was sooo not passing that day.
Scary, hon. scary.
Of course, now I’m next door to scottsdale (literally), and i only get offered rides or followed. But they just wanna, well, you know.
