monsoon

it was raining on the way home tonight. hard. i got soaked walking to my car, and the highway stopped dead about half way home. the road was flooded. actually, i was lucky, i was close to the front row, where everyone decided that the water on the road was too deep to pass. except for a few 18 wheelers. then a few pickups went through. and after waiting there about an hour, i decided to go for it. i believe that if the water was a half inch deeper, i’d still be there. but prayer and luck got me through. and i’m still digging out crud from my front grill and a/c.

i love my honda civic.

in other news, my stomach is still off. the doctor put me on anti-biotics. so i don’t know if i’m still sick, or if my normal reaction to the anti-biotics is what’s wrong. i’ll find out in 5 more days, i guess.

continuing to scrape the crud from my front grille. yuk.

  1. Ugh.

Sorry about the rain. I shook the darn stick too hard…

So I’m sitting here and bashing a few trolls on another site and suddenly I hear the tap turned on while a meeting is going on.

*ugh* Means that a two hour meeting will be stretched — I was stuck waiting for dinner until 11:00pm…

    *whine* *Whine* *moan*

Huggles hon — when the monsoon hits, its great for the desert, but *ever* so sucky for us…

    (can you say sticky….)

  2. If you’ll pardon hippie grandma’s interference… take some probiotics with your antibiotics! In fact, they might be sufficient to deal with your problem. (Digestive enzymes are another thing that helps, but wait until done with the course of antibiotics to give that a try.)

Just don’t take them at the same time; a window of time of about 2 hrs between pro and anti-biotics…to allow both to absorb fully.

Yogurt does NOT have enough bacteria in it when you are taking antibiotics, which kill off GOOD AND BAD bacteria EQUALLY and does not distinguish between the two. (Can result in diarrhea, etc.) Get a good brand that requires refrigeration. The best is NATREN or Dr Ohhira’s (both pricey), but there are lots of good ones. A middle-brand (not cheap but not the price of THOSE) is Udo’s brand. (various varieties)

    GOOD LUCK! :) (/herbalist)
