The gun posts are what drew me to your blog. As to open carry, I imagine fewer people will notice than you think. I haven't been carrying openly yet, but I've been carrying a 4 1/4" Colt in a paddle holster under a loose shirt, I'm 5'6", and *nobody* notices. People are so used to seeing cell phones and PDAs on people's belts, they don't even notice that sort of stuff. If anyone does ask I'll probably say it's a PDA - personal defensive assistant. :) People tend to see what they expect to see, and not see what they don't expect to.

Don't take a lack of comments as an indication that your handgun posts aren't as popular.

I actually find them interesting, and I file away the info in my skull for the day when I know that my personal problem will have passed.

My personal problem being that I was trained to use the damned things, rather effectively if last weekends trip to cabela's was any indication of how well I was trained (screwed up and was too familiar with weapons).

And, in general, if I don't like someone or get upset, I'm the sort that will use the darn things and make life a little more difficult for everyone who uses them far more responsibly.

(Yes, that's a nice way of saying put a loaded weapon in my hands, and Phoenix will suffer population reduction on a scale accordant to the number of rounds I have)

One day, this too shall pass -- and in the interim, you inform and remind me ;)
