it’s down to the final three. again, as i predicted, calpernia picked shawn first, and then jim. but broke the rules and asked mike to stay as well.
in the immortal words of andrea, “i think shawn is like 10 times hotter than mike”.
after the romantic walk on the beach, and watching the sunset with shawn, i would have kicked the other two out right there. apparently, calpernia enjoyed the night in vegas with mike and his parents, and the dinner with jim and his parents. granted, those two evenings must have been nice, and perhaps that’s why she chose to break the rules and keep all three. but for myself, i’m rooting for shawn. and i can’t wait until the next episode!
Haha you’re more perceptive than me I guess, I had Mike pegged before this episode. Calpernia just has always seemed so into him, and Shawn always seemed a bit aloof to the goings-on which I worried would kind of get him in trouble for not playing the game. Now that we actually KNOW him, I totally agree.
Shawn’s hinted at his blog that there is some fallout from “breaking the rules” in the finale, which is no surprise. I kind of get the feeling that the conclusion isn’t going to be a cut and dry selection of one winner. Curious to see what happens.
Also, neat blog; and first I’ve heard of transadvocate. I’ll have to poke around more.

And sure, add me, I was considering adding you but I guess it’s no longer a consideration.
I think most of us didn’t really get into it until the last couple of episodes; before that it was kind of fun but sometimes just odd (the harem thing I think was a bit over the top and I’m not sure Calpernia was even really into it, but for reality TV even that was pretty tame). Mostly I think the stark contrast here is that Calpernia is genuinely looking for someone she can get to know better and have a real relationship with, unlike most reality stars who just want to create the brightest flash in the pan they can manage. Now that she’s down to where she’s actually getting to know who’s left, it’s getting really interesting.
