i’ve posted about this revolver before - it’s charter arms recent introduction in the pink pistol marketing arena. they’re calling it the pink lady.
i’m actually in the market for a small revolver, though i’m a die hard smith & wesson fan. both pistols i currently own are s&w, and i’m pretty happy with their reliability and accuracy. i’ve heard a few negative reviews about charter arms (albeit a few positive ones as well), but the main reason i have reservations about the pink lady is that i would rather go with a .357 as opposed to a .38. i’m still considering a few different revolvers, but my tendency is still towards the s&w model 60. yeah, it’s almost twice as much as the pink lady ($727 msrp compared with $399 msrp) and almost twice as heavy (22.5 oz compared with 12 oz), but i believe the s&w is a stronger and overall better pistol.

You’re not going to get much revolver for $400. Most .22 rifles cost more than that!

well, the ruger 10/22 can be had for about $250 for a base model, and that’s a popular .22 rifle. and i got my marlin .22 model 995 for about $160, but that was 15 years ago. but you’re right, one can expect to pay over $600 for a good revolver, or even an autoloader. anything less, and one has to wonder where they cut corners.

OMG that is the cutest gun EVER!

it is rather cute, isn’t it. i’m not sure about the black grips though - i’m thinking they should have made those match the body.

I bought one for my girl and she has never been happier. It shoots great and she LOVES the color.

i’ll have to put more thought into it - the price is very competitive, and i love the look. i’m a little concerned about the weight of the s&w 60 i’ve been thinking about - perhaps if i can find a shop that has both, i can do a better comparison.
thanks for your comment, jmes!

I plan to pick one up tonight. Only $370 at a local gun store. Really light weight and very well done. The pink finish in anodized on the aluminum NOT painted. Nice contrast between the silver and color. Grips are black but are very cushie grips which would help in the recoil.

Good luck finding a local store that carries it! None of the ones here in Atlanta have it at all. I’ve called all of them and most want a $100 “special order” fee just to get it, and they’ll only consider stocking them once an order is placed and paid in full! I want one!

i ended up getting a s&w 637 airweight .38 revolver. you’re right, none of the local gun shops had these

Sorry to hear that! I’m trying my best to wait for one. I’d hate to let some sucker charge me an extra buck just cause I need it special ordered.
How’s the S&W working out for you? I’m looking for an alternate concealed choice…

actually, i’m used to a heavier handgun. i have two other s&w’s, a 9mm, and a .22 target pistol, and i love them both. the 637 is very light, and the .38 ammo packs quite a punch - even more so than the 9mm, so it’s taking a little getting used to. it does fit great on an ankle holder, and it’s easily concealed when i wear bootcut jeans. so the size is perfect. i’ll have to keep practicing to get my aim where it should be though. i’d eventually like to get grips that are a little larger - my pinky has nowhere to go as the stock grips are quite short. i had a set of hogue grips which worked better, but they didn’t fit the ankle holster. i’d imagine that the pink lady is about the same, since it too is light weight. and a .38. and about the same size.

Mine is impressive. I never plan to shoot it. i also have a Pink Taurus P111 and a Lady Deringer in my girl gun collection. I am an old collector with a gun room that is layed out like a museum. I am a addict.

Picked up a Rossi snubbie for the same price lately too. It is 357/38, 6 shot, very highly polished stainless steel, and nice oversized rubber grips.
There are deals to be had. ( Taurus owns Rossi 0

I looked at one of those for my wife, I knew she would love the color but the trigger and the action was not as nice as the S&W 60 Lady smith, and I wanted her to have a nice gun that would shoot .357 and .38 so I went with the S&W.

I actually just went thru the Concealed Weapon Class to get my concealed permit, and this was the gun I qualified with. It is very light and doesn’t have to much of a kick. The guys and girls all loved it. I was actually going to get a Taurus Ultra Lite, but I’m glad they got this one in. I’ve had it about a month now. I love it!!!
