yesterday, the local chapter of the pink pistols braved the rain, wind, and cold to attend the crossroads of the west gun show here in phoenix. i’d never been to a gun show before, and this was everything i expected. namely, row after row of merchants selling all things related to firearms - pistols, rifles, paraphernalia, ammo, accessories, and antiques.
according to their website, crossroads of the west gun shows attracted over 401,000 attendees in 2006. and i believe that every single one of them attended yesterday. it was packed. *mental note for next year: arrive early*
unfortunately, cameras were not allowed, so i couldn’t take any pictures. i did get a spiffy brochure from american spirit arms, a local precision firearms store in scottsdale though.

and i got to see thousands of pistols, shotguns, rifles, and accessories.
the hubby and i left before the rest of the group - he had to go to work, and i become fatigued walking around on a hard concrete floor after a couple of hours. they really need to set up a place where old people can sit down and relax, maybe with a hot cup of coffee. then again, i left after walking through only one of two huge buildings, and because of the inclement weather, didn’t spend too much time visiting the merchants set up outside. they need a larger space next year.
