in an amazing twist of algorithms, “what’s my blog rated?” gave me a pg rating, despite all the talk of shemales, transsexuals, homosexuals, and guns. apparently, sites are rated according to words like sex (3x) and murder (1x). go figure.

Obviously, homosexuality, guns, transsexual people, and shemales are perfectly safe for kids.
I was a bit shocked at which words nailed my blog’s rating. It sort of felt like this silly meme was embodying societal denial.

well, it does say “may not be suitable for children”, so perhaps they are only safe for children with parental guidance. which frankly, i personally don’t have a problem with. on the other hand, turn on the tv during prime time, and any kid can watch sex and murder unfettered. over and over again.
i don’t know, something just seems wrong about this whole thing. maybe your denial theory has some merit.

Well, I didn’t mean consciously, just sort of metaphorically or maybe subconsciously.
