this past week, seattle, washington held a trans awareness week celebration, in part resulting from a $15,000 city of seattle neighborhood grant award. festivities began august 25th and wrapped up on september 1st.

of particular note is transfigurations, a photo exhibit by the award winning california documentary photographer jana marcus, which can be viewed on her web site. i particularly enjoyed the diversity of the trans men and women featured in her work.

via stacey, stolen from shelli, i can personally attest to the existence of the condition commonly known as “blue balls”. having owned a set of said organs for a part of my life, i have experienced the condition, directly related to an extended period of arousal without a subsequent release. and having lived without said organs for the past 5+ years, i can personally attest to the direct relationship of these organs to the aforementioned condition. since my surgery, blue balls are a thing of the past.

not that i have any sympathy for those people who suffer from the, umm, disorder. it comes with the territory. deal.
