I was riding a bicycle through downtown phoenix in a suit coat and tie doing the job hunting thing. When I got back home at the end of that day, I climbed into a bathtub and dropped ice in the water for the first and only time in my life. Its worse now -- the heat island is so damned strong that the nights are almost 10 degrees hotter than they were when I was a kid. lol — that day when it was 122? I remember back in 1990, when I was outside working at a grocery store as a teen...the temperature hit 122...my shoes were literally melting to the asphalt while I pushed carts around. It was insane.
