payback

it’s midnight, and it’s 102° outside. so to all the people i laugh at during the winter, when it’s sub zero where you are, and a balmy 75° here in phoenix, now’s your chance. well, either now, or sometime over the next three months.

and yet, in the immortal words of my friend morg, “I’m only wearing black until they make something darker…”

  2. Yeah :) Dry heat. I remember back in 1990, when I was outside working at a grocery store as a teen…the temperature hit 122…my shoes were literally melting to the asphalt while I pushed carts around. It was insane.

Hell is just a word…the reality in a Phoenix summer is far worse ^_^

  3. lol — that day when it was 122? I was riding a bicycle through downtown phoenix in a suit coat and tie doing the job hunting thing.

When I got back home at the end of that day, I climbed into a bathtub and dropped ice in the water for the first and only time in my life.

Its worse now — the heat island is so damned strong that the nights are almost 10 degrees hotter than they were when I was a kid.
