via kactus’ post on twisty’s anti anti-trans-ness, it looks like the radfem’s vs trans argument once again rears its ugly head.
at least this time we’re not nutjobs.
it seems to me that this discussion keeps running around in circles. the way i see it, the two camps are simply not communicating, and to me, that just goes back to a basic misunderstanding of the terminology each group uses to express themselves.
i don’t post over on i blame the patriarchy because twisty insists that commenters use the caps key, and you know, i have issues with silencing, even if it’s because i don’t follow punctuation rules. :\
Thanks. I’m sorry the blow up distressed our hostess, and that in the heat of the moment i violated more than a few commenting guidelines, but I got a little het up.

I just read through that whole thread, despite my swearing never to darken that particular doorstep again. curiousgyrl, you rocked in there.
actually there were a few people in there who made me want to stand up and cheer, including a few i didn’t expect to take that side of the argument–i think delphyne has a way of bringing the contrarian out in people, bless her calcified little sesame seed of a heart–but god. DAMN. why WHY did i read some of that? eyeballs are EXPENSIVE, y’all. i can’t just go replacing them every time someone inspires me to take a claw hammer to them, not if i’m going to be reading people (and i use the term loosely) like “Raven” or “Mar Iguana” or “Louisa May Alcott” or bloody delphyne.
Heart at this point i just spacebar spacebar–goddam, that woman likes to hear herself speak, don’t she?

I so much agree. We need some kind of terminology link, like that very good “Feminism 101″ link.
I also agree that Heart talks waaaay too much. Yech. Put a sock in it.
