Great Debate Moments
July 24th, 2007 by Stephanie StevensDennis Kucinich may be one of the Democrat’s Mr. Irrelevants, but he’s good for a laugh …
When asked by a YouTube questioner to “look at the candidate to your left and tell the audience one thing you like, and one thing you dislike about that particular candidate,” Kucinich, who was seated at the far left of the stage, observed there weren’t any candidates to the left of him.
“You notice what CNN did,” he said, to laughter from the audience. “They didn’t put anybody to the left of me. Think about it.”
FWIW, Mr. Kucinich also did say last night …
“If our Constitution really means what it says, that ‘all are created equal,’ if it really means what it says, that there should be equality of opportunity before the law, then our brothers and sisters who happen to be gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered should have the same rights accorded to them as anyone else, and that includes the ability to have a civil marriage ceremony,” Kucinich said in response to a YouTube question from a lesbian couple.
