I Guess I Shouldn’t Believe In Fairies

” … I am disappointed in the transgender community. They seem to think that if Nancy Pelosi and myself, George Miller and a few others waved a magic wand we could deliver it.” — Congressman Barney Frank speaking Monday in Denver with Towleroad about a trans-inclusive ENDA (Employment Non-Discrimination Act)

HE’s disappointed in US? OMFG. I can’t tell you what an insult this is. Between him, Joe S. of the HRC, and all the shmoozing and circle-jerking that’s been going on in the LGB-but-apparently-not-T communities/caucuses here in Denver this week, I am a walking vibrating bundle of rage. AND! AND. ENDA STILL didn’t pass; thus proving, I think, that we transfolk aren’t the problem, TYVM. And proving that irony is alive and well, Joe S. participated in a panel this week about how the bad guys used wedge politics against the good guys. (Well, he would know…)
The mind, she boggles.

He is still talking this SHIT - i swear his name is becoming a curse word in our home. There are other ways to frame this without being downright transphobic. grrr
